Hagerstown Community College has been approved by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education to offer online programs of study. Qualifying programs include associate degrees in business administration, general studies and arts and sciences, as well as several certificate and letters of recognition programs. Programs available with 75 percent of the coursework offered online including associate degrees in accounting, education, English, English education, history, history education, management and political science. More online courses and programs will be added in the coming months. Online courses that have been offered for several years have been growing in popularity, according to Guy Altieri, HCC president.
