BEING AN ONLINE LEARNING STUDENT

By Beth, the DriVen Class

It’s that time again – classes are starting back up. I had about 4 days of “down time,” and now I’m back at it for my last semester… YAY!! My experience so far has been 100% online, no classrooms, and it looks like I will earn my bachelor’s degree without having set foot in one. Online class has been perfect for me – I like to work alone, am self-motivated and organized, and a geek. However, interacting with people in person as I get out and talk about The DriVen Class, I remember what I enjoyed about the campus/classroom experience (way back in 1986 when I earned my Associate Degree). Online and classroom venues are very different, requiring specific skills and offering different experiences and rewards.
