Last year the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County launched the innovative Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (BAAS) completion degree open to anyone with a liberal arts Associates Degree. The BAAS degree is designed to deliver education to adult students where they live and work to help them advance in their career without having to start over in their education. This degree also helps fulfill the need for qualified workers in Central Wisconsin. Completion of the BAAS degree is dependent on a student earning 60 approved credits through our campus or our partner UW System four-year campuses. The BAAS degree provides a graduate with knowledge and skills employers say they want, including the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing, develop strategies for problem solving and working in teams and to take on leadership roles in the workplace and community.
