Apple Intrinsity Buy Could Be a Boon for the iPad

Apple has completed the purchase of Intrinsity, a chip maker that worked on a high-power processor for the iPad, according to the New York Times. As Android-running smartphones such as the Droid Incredible catch up to the iPhone, Intrinsity may help Apple keep the iPad well ahead of competitors. Apple has bought chip maker Intrinsity, according to The New York Times, a move that could have a significant impact in the evolution of the company’s iPad tablet PC.
