An independent study by the U.S. Department of Education shows that interactive learning tools help students improve Algebra I test scores by 6 to 14 percent, and PISD is one of many districts in North Texas now presenting math in an interactive classroom, where teachers use technology to foster interaction with their students — less “chalk and talk” learning and more collaboration, which allows teachers to reach students on a deeper level and can lead to increased student participation and higher academic achievement.
