School District 51 will allocate $50,000 of next year’s budget on technology that will be used in the classroom. According to Superintendent Michael Strukoff, local schools will be able to purchase SMART boards, LED projectors, Document Readers and Tablet PCs. “Some of our teachers have had a chance to see other teachers in other schools using (the items) and there has been an interest and they’ve seen the interest that it creates with students,” explained Strukoff.
