New this year is a three-year partnership with Google and the Governor’s School for Science and Mathematics. The goal is to grow local talent, produce academic results and develop skilled leadership for South Carolina. Fifty Berkeley seventh-graders are recommended to participate in this three-year program, and will spend one week each summer on the campus of the Governor’s School , engaged in research-based challenges.
