Michael Fetherman, Cedar Grove’s superintendent of schools, said Barboza is the architect of the new professional development curriculum. “The program is innovative and hands-on,” Fetherman said. “We are thrilled that it’s so interactive with the kids.” Barboza said “Go Math!” has numerous online components, such as an interactive E-book, instructional videos for parents and students, practice quizzes and more. “There is an interactive student addition online,” she said. “A voice will read math problems out loud, and there is also ‘math on the spot’ videos that include an animated cartoon or an actual person describing math problems to help students further understand them.”
