Tarrant County colleges mirror online increase - Patrick Mcgee, Star-Telegram Staff Writer
John Branning was looking for a college class he could fit into his busy schedule, something early in the morning or late at night. He found a graduate-level electrical engineering class online through the University of Texas at Arlington that allowed him to watch a Webcast video of the lecture at his convenience. "It fit in right with my work schedule. I didn't have to worry about missing work or anything to go watch my class," Branning, 27, said. "I'd say it's definitely worth doing." More than 2.5 million Americans were enrolled in online classes this academic year, according to estimates from The Sloan Consortium, which surveys online course enrollment nationwide
