Pioneering virtual lessons for nurses - State-side health trip - Money Plans
A NHS (UK) team has returned from a fact-finding visit to America as part of a pioneering project of developing virtual-training for Notts nurses. The trip was organised by Ashfield and Mansfield District Primary Care Trusts and Nottingham University (both UK), which aimed to established greater links with Kansas University, which has been at the forefront in the study of 'inter-professional virtual practice learning'. The findings from the visit are now being used to boost a similar project in Nottinghamshire, called Virtual Practice Learning Teams, where nurses who find it difficult due to work commitments to attend meetings and courses will be able to use online workshops, seminar presentations and discussion forums.
