eTwinning conference: encourage the twinning of schools in Europe through the use of the internet - Ján Figel, Keynote
It is a great pleasure for me to open this launch conference for eTwinning – the European action for the twinning of schools across Europe, using the Internet. This action that will provide every child in Europe with the opportunity - at some point in their schooling - to engage, exchange and learn with other children from across the continent. Europe is founded on common values, has been constructed through dialogue and is maintained through respect for different cultures and languages. School twinning will reinforce this dialogue, offering a voice for the youth of today, in a Europe without borders.
