First Lady donates computers to Zimbabwe Open University - Zimbabwe Herald

Institutions of higher learning need the necessary tools for them to be effective in service delivery, the First Lady, Cde Grace Mugabe, said yesterday. She said this when she donated 11 state-of-the-art computers, printers and software to the Zimbabwe Open University (ZOU). The computers would be used in the production of modules, handouts and other learning materials. She sourced the computers after realising that the university was in need of the equipment. The First Lady likened ZOU to a hunter in search of knowledge. "Conventional wisdom tells us that a good hunter needs good hunting dogs and sticks to be effective. It is for this reason that bad hunters end up burning the entire veld in order to catch a single rabbit because of being inadequately equipped," she said.
