Online courses grow: National trend helps college cater to busy students - Sophia Maines, Myrtle Beach Sun News
Horry-Georgetown Technical College students this fall can earn a business degree without leaving the comfort of their living rooms. Web-based learning is a growing part of HGTC's offerings as the college pushes to fulfill one of its primary missions: catering to nontraditional and adult learners. Educators say online offerings and use by students have jumped nationwide in recent years as many seek a convenient way to fit educational advancement into their busy schedules.
