Japan Govt to ease facility rules for Net universities - Yomiuri Shimbun
The Education, Science and Technology Ministry has mapped out a policy to largely ease the facility requirements to open a university or graduate school for Internet-based schools, ministry officials said Saturday. The ministry is expected to approve the opening of such institutions provided they establish a president's office or office for clerical works. With the move, it will be possible to set up an institution for Web-based education with a much smaller investment in facilities.
