College anywhere a reality - Peter Key, Philadelphia Business Journal
Philadelphia-area community colleges historically haven't had many students from other regions, let alone other countries. That could be about to change. Three area community colleges, WHYY Inc. and a Bala Cynwyd-based software developer have launched a Web site that allows anyone anyplace to take courses and earn degrees from the three schools. "They're called campus-free courses and that means the students do not have to come to campus for any of the services provided," said Susan Knoble, executive director of adult learning service at WHYY.
