In Just One Year, Half the Student Population Experiences e-Learning at Redlands Community College
Just one year after Redlands Community College deployed the WebCT Campus Edition course management system, fully half of its students are taking online courses and the college expects e-learning to continue growing rapidly, WebCT announced today. Online courses are helping 1,100 Redlands students of all ages, incomes and circumstances gain access to learning opportunities how and when it’s most convenient for them. Since the school’s service area, near Oklahoma City, Okla., is vast and sparsely populated, the Internet offers single parents, full-time workers and other nontraditional students the best, and sometimes only, opportunity to obtain college degrees.
