USC distance education on the rise: Six additional degrees from School of Engineering offered this fall - SHELLIE BRANCO, the Daily Trojan
More and more USC engineering students are not coming to campus, and no one seems to mind. Whether they are living in Alabama or in Orange County, professional engineers who want to obtain a graduate education can earn a master's degree via the Internet in one of 13 degree programs offered by the School of Engineering's fast-growing Distance Education Network (DEN). The program's course offerings and enrollment are accelerating. Seventy-two courses are available, and DEN boasts over 850 students this year, compared to 650 enrollments in 2001. This fall, six new degrees will be offered.
