Louisiana Offers Online Study to Military Personnel in Iraq - DAN CARNEVALE, the Chronicle
Louisiana's Board of Regents has created an "electronic campus" for Louisiana college students who have been called to duty, so that they don't fall behind in their studies during the war in Iraq. Many of the students attending Louisiana colleges and universities are part of Reserve and National Guard forces that have been deployed to the Middle East and Europe. The state's Board of Regents decided last week to pool the online courses from Louisiana institutions so that those students can take courses over the Internet.
