Envoy Inaugurates French Online Distance Learning Programme for Pakistan - PakNews
A distance learning programme, French Online, was inaugurated here on Thursday by the French Ambassador to Pakistan Yannick Gerard. French Online is a joint project of Alliance Francaise, Allama Iqbal Open University and COMSATS. This is a distance learning method via the internet. It is the outcome of three years of hard work by teachers of the French Culture Center Islamabad, computer specialists and graphic designers under the aegis of the cultural section of the Embassy of France. "This method may be an answer to the desire of a large number of Pakistanis who wish to learn the French language," the French envoy said while addressing the inaugural ceremony of the programme. Vice Chancellor Allama Iqbal Open University Dr. Syed Altaf Hussain also addressed on the occasion.
