Online Perioperative course first of its kind in country - Beth Braverman, Express-Times
Northampton Community College and St. Luke's Hospital and Health Network will begin offering a 16-week distance learning program in perioperative nursing Jan. 27. "It's innovative at this point because it's the only distance learning program in perioperative nursing in the country," said Paula Crawford-Gamble, nurse manager of the operating room for St. Luke's Hospital in Fountain Hill. Program administrators expect it will attract nurses from around the country and nurses abroad in the armed forces. The first session has already attracted eight nurses interested in participating, Crawford-Gamble said.
