Mississippi teachers can get continuing education units on-line - Sue Watson, the South Reporter
Mississippi teachers who have home computers can now obtain continuing education units on-line thanks to a five-year Star School grant from the United States Department of Education and Public Broadcasting System (PBS). Mississippi Educational Television (ET) provides training for TeacherLine, an innovative Internet accessible program that provides educational modules in various disciplines. About 32 states are partnering with PBS to provide the service to teachers so they do not have to travel to a university or college to obtain all of their continuing education units, according to Jill Boteler, TeacherLine manager for Mississippi ETV.
