Distance learning works for Cook County, Minnesota - Joan Farnam, Cook County News-Herald
Jennifer Morawitz, the mother of three young children, woke up one morning and said to herself — “You know, it would be really great to be a nurse. I could help people and have a career where I could help support my family.” That early morning revelation was a surprise to her — Morawitz said she had never thought she would be the type of person who would want a career, even though her aunt and cousin were both nurses and had been telling her for years that she would be good at it. Wanting to be a nurse is one thing. Getting the training in a community that is 100 miles from the nearest college is something else again.
