Cuyahoga Community College Continues Strong Enrollment Growth
Cuyahoga Community College, Ohio's first and largest community college, today announced that according to official 15th day enrollment figures, the number of students taking spring semester classes is continuing to rise.... "Among the reasons for this growth is the increase in popularity of our distance learning program, especially students taking classes via the Internet and television. It is projected that by the end of this year, our distance learning will account for approximately 8% of our full time equivalencies," said Cuyahoga Community College President Dr. Jerry Sue Thornton. The College identified Jolene Olesick of Cleveland as their 10,000th distance learning enrollment and presented her with a $1,500 scholarship to mark that milestone.
