Farmers may get education online - Bill Wolfe, Louisville Courier-Journal
An ambitious proposal to bring computers, high-speed Internet access and online learning to as many as 45,000 Kentucky farm families could take its first step toward reality tomorrow in a vote by Kentucky's Agriculture Development Board. The board will decide on a request for $50,000 to study the proposed Rural eLearning Agriculture Program, which would network tobacco growers with colleges and vocational schools, potential customers, agribusiness and others in a statewide public/private collaboration.
