Pilot program to offer online tutoring to Louisiana colleges - WILL SENTELL, the Advocate
College and university students, including 13,500 who take online courses, will be able to get online tutoring starting next month. The Louisiana Board of Regents has approved a six-month pilot program to help students with math, chemistry, writing and other subjects. About 150 faculty members spent Thursday learning how to blend tutoring services with their classes. "What we are trying to do is reach students in Louisiana," said Mike Abbiatti, associate commissioner for information and learning technology.
