What is RSS? - I love the Web. But burrowing through the maze of pop-up ads, slow-loading pages and other annoyances can be a chore. Just clicking my way through the 30-plus Web sites I read everyday was becoming a real time-killer. Thankfully, I discovered a new type of software that does most of my dirty work for me. It's called a news reader, and it might someday change the way a lot of people use the Web. By fetching headlines and other content from the Web and dumping it onto a user's desktop, news readers can dramatically limit needless Web surfing....
