Pequot students commuting to college by keyboard - Peter Frank, Echo Editor
Computers have been in Pequot Lakes school classrooms for years. This year, however, is the first that computers are the classroom. The high school’s new ability to offer online classes is opening subjects that will probably never be offered by Pequot teachers to students. It’s also giving students with tight schedules flexibility they’ve never had before in choosing when to take their courses. The 12 students who are enrolled in online classes don’t need a teacher, a room, and fellow students to learn. They just have to have a computer with an internet connection, and their textbook.
