The IVC, which coordinates distance education courses in Illinois, reported a 49 percent increase in the number of students taking online courses statewide last spring. At the three University of Illinois campuses, a total of 4,200 students enrolled in online courses last spring -- a 28 percent increase from the previous semester's enrollment of 3,033 students. "All of the University of Illinois campuses are doing very well in online enrollment," Lach said. "Of all the state universities, the U of I campuses are leading the way for online learning."...
