Japanese course takes to the Web - Online format makes course more accessible, convenient for all

Award-winning professors, Dr. Hiro Justin Ota and Ms. Claire Ikumi Hitosugi, continue to offer their online class to students all over the country. In Spring 2003, Japanese 332: Advanced Japanese Reading and Writing, a Web-based three-credit course, will be offered through both the regular University of Hawai'i system and the Outreach College. The course was first offered in Spring 2002, with sixteen students registered. It was the first online Japanese course ever initiated at UHM....
