U. of Nebraska Backs Away From Shared Rural Facility in Favor of Online Courses

Three institutions of the University of Nebraska system plan to cut back on a rural-outreach program and instead offer more online courses in an attempt to save money. Several Nebraska institutions have been offering courses in classrooms at College Park, an educational center in Grand Island created in 1992 to teach undergraduate- and graduate-level coursework to students in rural Nebraska. The three University of Nebraska campuses have offered the lion's share of College Park's courses and staff of instructors....
