Enrollment in Kentucky distance-learning programs grows by leaps and bounds

This spring, more than 6,200 students in Kentucky went the distance to get a better education, according to Daniel Rabuzzi, CEO of Kentucky Virtual University, a state entity created in 1997. It's a consortium of public colleges and universities in Kentucky that provides the electronic infrastructure needed to facilitate online courses. For these students, going to class was as simple as turning on their computers, and many local colleges and universities are gearing up for an even larger distance-learning population....
