During a briefing for the NU Board of Regents, representatives of the state's four campuses said that the number of students taking courses via the Internet and satellite had doubled between 1998-99 and 2000-01. NU President L. Dennis Smith said that the future will see just as many students taking courses via a laptop or desktop computer as via a seat in a classroom. ...
