Survey: Residents of Ohio Want Online Degrees

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohioans want college degrees, they want to take them online, and business, nursing and health care are their top degree choices, according to a poll commissioned by the Ohio Learning Network (OLN). The poll, conducted by the University of Cincinnati‚s Institute for Policy Research, confirms data found in a similar poll in 1999. Nearly 70 percent of Ohio citizens surveyed felt completing a degree was important to them. "This poll reaffirms that Ohioans see the value of a college education," OLN Executive Director Kate M. Carey said. "And more importantly, we see the increasing interest in an online degree which tags with the rising enrollments over the past two years. That is great news for Ohio‚s 41 colleges and universities offering online courses and degrees via OhioLEARNS!."...
