Confessions of an e-learner: Why the course paradigm is all wrong

At a recent e-learning conference one of the presenters said it was okay if students didn't complete a course.The speaker went on to say that perhaps the students got what they wanted out of the course. Or maybe they went through parts of the course, realized it wouldn't help them, and just stopped going through the material.It was okay if online courses were failures, were too long, or were not tailored to the audience, according to the presenter. Upon closer examination though, e-learning isn't failing. Instead, the existing course paradigm is failing....
