Law-School Accreditors Will Vote Saturday on Distance-Education Proposal
DAN CARNEVALE

The accrediting body of the American Bar Association will decide Saturday whether to recommend that law schools be allowed to create distance-education courses for credit. The accreditors will consider proposed regulations that would limit law students to earning only 12 credit hours through distance education, out of the 80 required to graduate. But students would not be allowed to take any courses at a distance during their first year in law school, and after that could earn no more than four credit hours via distance education each semester....
