Some of the changes are pretty obvious and elementary: word processing college recommendations instead of giving scrawled notes to a secretary to type; making a database of students' college/career plans so that they could be made aware of opportunities such as college representatives on campus, scholarships, career speakers, etc.; using voice mail instead of piles of illegible pink message slips. Other innovations are more specialized for this field....
