The married father had to find courses that would fit both his full-time work schedule and his degree requirements. Now distance and evening courses offered through the university's Division of Continuing Studies allow similar students to finish within six years, he told members of the Academic Planning Committee Wednesday. But cutting more than $840,000 from the division's budget could make it more difficult again for students to find the courses they need in the sequence they need, said Smith, who administers the Evening Degree Programs for Continuing Studies....
