Technology in Organizational Learning: Using High Tech for High Touch

ABSTRACT
This study describes the use of technology to enhance an experiential adult learning process, which occurred in a participatory organizational climate assessment. In this case, computer software and hardware capabilities enabled greater hands-on involvement by employees, and promoted the self-discovery of knowledge that was then converted into action strategies for organizational improvement. It is a pilot effort to join survey research with participatory organizational change. The setting is a small city government of approximately 420 employees in the Northeastern United States.
