The new initiative, run by Lampeter's centre for educational development, offers a unique programme of courses written specifically for volunteers and paid staff working in a caring environment within the voluntary sector. Each module draws on the individual's working experience and is designed to relate theory to practice. Course director, Carolyn Inglis, said, "The centre for educational development is currently developing this unique degree, a BA in voluntary sector studies and the course will be in place by autumn 2002....
