What is MimerDesk?

MimerDesk is an open-source groupware environment designed for a wide variety of uses such as Web-based eLearning, carrying out projects, and setting up communities. It also has tools for personal management. Its features include Calendar, Tasks, Forums, Messages, Chat, Reviews, Voting, Advanced User Management, Files, Profiles, and many more. Mimer comes from the scandinavian viking myhology. It means the center of all information where the tree of life, Yaggrasil rises. Desk means the way you work in MimerDesk. The 'i' in Mimer is pronounced like 'i' in 'Still', not like 'y' in 'My'. MimerDesk is written in Perl....
