The university’s Distance Education Department has shown a rise from 924 credit hours in spring of 1998, to 8,398 credit hours this spring. University officials say that the increase can be attributed to the increase in off-campus courses and programs. Distance Education courses are being gobbled up like candy this semester, according to university officials....
