Although most educational institutions have no chance of achieving the distinction of global university (discussed in Chapter Two), many institutions could reconfigure themselves as internationally distributed campuses, using the knowledge room framework and a blended approach to e-learning. This would be a tremendous contribution to learning worldwide. Also the international distributed campus would likely be able to find the economic means to sustain itself in rhe competitive framework of mass-produced distance education....
