FOSTER University administrators are cooperating with a federal investigation into a software-piracy ring that has touched five campuses and dozens of other sites, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Customs Service said Wednesday. Customs officials seized computers and questioned students or network employees at Duke University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Purdue University, the University of California at Los Angeles, and the University of Oregon. The people questioned were allegedly involved in an international network that stole billions of dollars' worth of software and distributed it free over the Internet....
