Northland College offers Distance Learning courses to community

After several years of planning, Northland College's Distance Learning program is now in full swing, with 12 courses being offered this coming winter and spring. Community members are encouraged to register for any of these courses; registration begins on November 26 and continues through December 15. The courses take place in Wheeler Hall in the College's Distance Learning Lab -- a state-of-the-art facility with live video connections to other colleges statewide. Through this technology, Northland can both deliver classes and receive them from elsewhere, sharing expertise in various cultural, linguistic, governmental, historical, and religious issues with people outside of the Lake Superior region....
