Virtual classes can make solid sense

WHEN Joanne Sainsbury moved from Sydney to Canberra last year she was in the middle of a graduate diploma in communications management at the University of Technology, Sydney and didn't want to abandon her studies. The solution? "Virtual" classes, meaning she could stay in Canberra and communicate with her tutors and classmates online. She now works full-time as an account manager with a public relations firm and last semester travelled to Sydney only several times for intensive weekend classes....
