But taking a class via the Internet provides the opportunity for completing a course, sometimes an entire degree, at one's own pace, not to mention in the comfort of one's own home where the occasional ice cream break is allowed. Distance education has been offered at Chico State University since 1975, but this semester is the first time a complete liberal studies degree can be obtained through online courses....
