UMassOnline to Build Online Education Platform with Prometheus and IntraLearn

BOSTON, MA - October 1, 2001 - UMassOnline is taking a major step in building its eLearning technology infrastructure and expanding its capacity for delivering educational programs over the Web. UMassOnline announced today that it will build and host a dual platform eLearning "utility" using software from Prometheus and the Massachusetts - based IntraLearn. The new infrastructure will give faculty of the five - campus University robust tools for creating online learning environments and give students a convenient Web portal to help manage their online classes. Today, UMassOnline has more than 6,000 enrollments in 25 campus - based online degree and certificate programs....
