Anyone with a desire to study business should take a close look at the University of Phoenix Online. Whatever your opinion of its MBA programmes, the business model demands respect. Student numbers at the cyber university increased to 27,000 last year. Revenues were up by 48 per cent. Operating margins widened to an impressive 28.5 per cent. The "virtual campus" is the distance learning arm of the University of Phoenix, which offers a variety of higher education programmes aimed at working people. Both entities are owned by Apollo Group, a Nasdaq-listed company which is the largest for-profit provider of higher education in the US....
