Click. - Internet Plagerism Wendi Hailey, Grand Valley Lanthorn As Professor Joe Yantis read through a stack of term papers from his advertising class, he thought the last one sounded familiar. Combing back through the pile, he realized that two students had turned in nearly identical papers. Yantis speculated that the papers were taken from the Internet, sat down at his computer and dialed up the modem. He typed two key words from the title of the papers into a search engine, and in just a few clicks of the mouse, the plagiarized paper popped onto the screen. It was a master’s thesis written by a University of Texas student....
