Those looking to pursue post-secondary studies but find them increasingly elusive due to time, money and personal constraints, may find Internet learning provides much-needed solutions. It goes by many names -- online education, e-learning, distance ed -- but regardless of the term used, these days a computer and an Internet connection give new meaning to the phrase "independent study." Yesterday's one-way correspondence model, where an envelope arrived by mail and was returned to sender with the course completed, has been replaced with new teaching models that put a priority on educators and students interacting with one another....
